If you want to use your laptop during the workshop, you need to register it first at CERN Visitor Registration.

You could give the name of Muriel MACCHI or Marie Christine GUIRAO as contact person.

How to get to CERN?

Here are some directions on how to get to CERN. You are most likely to get here by car, train or airplane. The best way to proceed from there is detailed below.
An interactive map of Geneva can help you find your way.

Travelling by Airplane

Coming from the Geneva International Airport at Cointrin

Taxi - (rather expensive, approximately 25.00 CHF). Recommended for heavy luggage!

Bus - take the bus number 10 from outside the airport exit to Bouchet (alternatively the bus number 28 and exit to Meyrin). From Bouchet (or Meyrin) take the bus number 9 marked "CERN" to its terminus at the CERN entrance (be careful not to confuse it with the bus number "9-Zimeysa").
Ticket costs 3.00 CHF. See Transport Publics Genevois web site for full details.

Travelling by Train

From the Geneva railway station at Cornavin

Bus - Take the number 9 marked "CERN" to its terminus at the CERN entrance (be careful not to confuse it with the bus number "9-Zimeysa").
Ticket costs 3.00 CHF. See Transport Publics Genevois web site for full details.

Travelling by Car

Coming from the Swiss side

Follow "Aeroport", "Lyon" or "Meyrin". When in Meyrin head for "St. Genis" (which is just across the border in France.) CERN is on the left hand side of the "route de Meyrin", just before the border crossing.

Coming from the French side

Follow "Gex" or "St. Genis". When in St. Genis head for the border. CERN is on your right hand side immediately after the border crossing.
